1974 Ford F-750. This is one of the finest surviving examples of a F-750. The truck has 1575 original miles. It was a city fire truck and never left town. Always inside and babied. I was on the fire dept and I took care of this truck. I bought it when it was retired. I do not have enough time to enjoy the truck.
The truck is a 1974 F-750, it has a 391 cubic inch big block Ford truck engine. A five speed transmission and a single speed rock well rear end with 7.17 gears. After I purchased the truck I removed all of the fire fighting equipment. The truck had a front mount pump which was removed and I had the frame professionally shortened. The truck had a 500 gallon tank for water. The tank leaked and is no good. I performed a tune up on the truck, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belts, hoses, flushed the radiator and new exhaust. I have a tachometer to go in the empty hole in dash. The interior is 95 percent perfect. There are three holes in headliner from the light that was on top of the truck. The truck fires right up and purrs. With the single speed rear end the truck maxes out at 55 mph. Any truck shop could change out the center section of the rear end and make it a two speed. The truck also comes with a 14 ft military flatbed that I was going to install. An electric over hydraulic hoist can be added to make the bed tilt.
This truck would make a good tailgating rig, service truck, you can remove the bed and install the flat bed. The possibilities are endless. The truck is sold as is. Clear Title. Thank you for looking.
