1974 Seagrave TDA 100" (Ladder 49). This is the truck from the movie Ladder 49 It is not a clone. It is not a tribute car". This is the real deal. 6 Cylinder detroit diesel motor, five speed transmission. Power Steering and air brakes. 32000 pounds and 53 foot long. It has not given me any mechanical difficulty. Newer batteries and starter. It was purchased directly from the Baltimore Fire Department and I have proof it is the correct truck from the movie. In good condition, with the exception of the floors in the rear cabinets, they will need work. Doors of cabinets will also need to be repaired, hinges are rusted. I watched and amateur body guy fix one door in about an hour, so not a big deal. I am selling because I am 65 and driving a tractor trailer is not for the faint of heart. I rarely have a tillerman, I tie the rear steering wheel straight. I am downsizing to a brush truck. Stored inside since I purchased it, except for four months. I am hoping someone will purchase it and treat it well. Obviously, there is a reserve.
On Apr-18-19 at 19:43:15 PDT, seller added the following information:
There is NO equipment going to go with this truck, even if it appears in the picture. It will have one k12 box (empty) mounted over the motor. It will also have two ladders, a fifty foot bangor and a thirty foot ladder. There will be no other equipment included.
Relisted due to non communicating buyers and non buying bidders. Any bidders with zero transactions will be deleted. This will be an expensive truck to ship, get your quotes before you bid. Thanks.
And just to clear it up, I do not have a set price, therefore it is on ebay. I have a reserve I will not divulge. Under no circumstances will I stop the auction and negotiate outside the auction. Thank you again.
