This is a Ford F-600 tanker truck. It is a 1979 model that was used as a tanker for the fire department there. It was purchased new by the fire department and then and was bought at auction by me a year or so ago when they went to a newer model truck.
The truck has a nicely running big-block 370CI Ford engine with a factory four-speed transmission and two speed axle. The truck, starts, runs, drives perfectly. The two speed rear works fine. This truck pulls like a MULE, but only hits maybe 60-62 MPH on top end. The water tank on the rear is a 1400-1500 gallon heavy steel tank mounted to a flatbed. This could be easily used as a water truck for construction company as-is, or the tank can be unbolted, and the truck could be used for whatever you needed. I think some of the gauges will need to be fixed.
The truck will need taillights and turn signals fixed, (headlights work fine). I noticed the last time I started it, the truck was dripping a slight bit of fuel from the fuel pump on the engine, but I am sure that this is an easy fix. This truck has original interior that has never been touched as well as paint. The vehicle would be a perfect conversion to any kind of work truck that you needed.
Tires are 9.00x20 inch, heavy ply and they look good. .Truck was driven home by me 200 miles are so and ran and drove like a top. Brakes are fine and so is steering, etc.
Truck is sold as-is but you can come and start the truck, etc. . I am placing it for sale for what I gave for it. It will make someone a great low cost commercial vehicle if they need one.
Deposit is $500 via Paypal and non-refundable. .If you have less that 10 feedbacks or have no intention of showing up with cash, then please refrain from bidding on this truck.
