1979 Chevrolet Bruin Pump Fire Truck With Cat 3280 Diesel Engine *NO RESERVE*
For Sale to the highest bidder is a 1979 Chevrolet Bruin Fire Truck with only 23,186 miles
Truck has a Caterpillar 3280 Diesel Engine with Allison transmission
Truck runs, drives & stops as it should. Has air brakes. Also has automatic tire chain deployment system for winter months in snow. We purchased this truck a couple years ago from the fire department when it was removed from service. It was driven 200 miles to our current location with no issues. Since we have owned it, it has been driven a couple times a month for car shows, parades, etc.
Engine runs great and very low miles as these engines last a long time.
This is a pump truck. With a Hale pump system. Pump has been tested and used within the last year. I have a video of the pump working and can send to you. The pump has not been officially certified. Have certification paperwork dated back in 1981. We hooked up the pump and it sprayed nicely.
Everything in truck is hooked up and working including lights, sirens & PA system. Only thing that is known not to function is the fuel gauge.
Not shown in the pictures but also included is 2 ladders for the side of the truck.

Local pickup
If you are looking to have it shipped you must make your own arrangements with a shipping company. A tractor trailer with a low boy trailer would be necessary. Since it is a running truck would be no problem with loading. We will assist as much as we can.
