Vintage 1979 Chevy StepVan P30. Has a 350 automatic V8. Retro two tone pale yellow and white paint. Has a large concession window, not an RV or residential window! Window was installed by reputable food truck builder for $1,500. Has a single serve opening of 8X12 with a vertical slide and screen. Custom fabricated stainless steel serve shelf that is sleek and shallow unlike the common big bulky ones you see. Has a custom Class 5 heavy tow bumper and hitch combo we put on to tow supplies if needed. Inside the walls have polystyrene insulation, framed with wood and covered in aluminum. Floor has aluminum diamond plate. List of repairs is lengthy, replaced windows ($500), rebuilt carburetor, new belts & hoses, alternator, distributor, freeze plugs, starter, spark plugs, refurbished radiator, brakes, steering box, lenses and lights, and more. Bodywork alone cost $3000. Overall more than $11k has been put into the truck. It"s not outfitted with a kitchen as we had a freezer and portable hand washing set up in there which suited our needs selling drinks and desserts. It runs well, we have taken it to various events and always get lots of compliments on the look of it.Truck overall is in good shape, not perfect, has some rust and the doors are a bit "sticky" when sliding. Wipers could be replaced and we haven"t done anything to the cab area so it"s all original. We noticed a few times when starting it up that the flywheel wasn"t catching so it would take a few tries to get it. Other than that its a cool truck and a great asset for the food or concession business. Lots of possibilities with this. It"s been an in-town driver and haven"t taken it on long treks across the states or in the mountains. Feel free to ask any questions.! We"re downsizing for our brick and mortar so hoping it will go to good home!
