1979 Ford CLT 9000 for sale! Unrestored and still in use to this day! Great truck and in great condition! Detroit Diesel 8V92T, custom air to air intercooled, chassis dynoed at 500hp. 931,800 original miles, 125,00 on rebuild. 13 speed trans rebuilt around the same time. Original owner had it from 1979 to 2008 when he retired it. I put it back on the road last year and have put 12,000 miles on it. 3.70 gears and 12513 13 speed puts it at 1750rpms at 70mph and just cruises down the freeway loaded. Never been loaded over 65,000 total, ever. Has new exhaust, cab shocks, rear shocks, air bags,and K&N air filters. Steer tires have 10,000 miles on them and the drives are at 70 percent. I’ve changed out some of the brake lines and two of the air chambers. Brakes are at 70 percent. Two stage Jake Brake. Wheel base is 154”. So you can get in and outta places others can not! Makes it interesting to drive without a trailer, but not bad! The truck is fun to drive, no computer or speed governor! I will deliver for $1.75 a mile.
