We originally bought this truck off in 2011, and it has been in active duty with our volunteer fire department ever since. Sadly, we"ve lost the garage space we"ve kept it in, and need to find it another home.
We used it as a parade truck and to pull water trailers to wildland fires. We do not use the internal water tank or foam proportioner, as the plumbing to the tank leaks. The PTO pump does work.
The following description is from the original listing:1980 GMC 7000 Sierra 4x4 Fast Attack, 19,500 GVW, 9000 front, 10,500 rear, 250GPM Chelsea PTO fire pump, Rockwood around the pump foam proportioner, 350 gallon aluminum water tank. 35 gallon poly foam cell. March 2010 Virginia safety certification. Good overall condition, 427ci gas industrial engine, PS, Automatic Transmission, pump & roll capability, 2 speed transfer case, with locking front hubs, only 37,000 miles. 6 side compartments (3 left, 3 right), 1 large roll-up tailboard compartment that is pre-plumbed for a booster reel or trash line. Red paint all around, upgraded emergency lighting, electronic siren, speaker, red lightbar and red rear warning strobes, red front flashing lights. The glass is in good condition, 3 person bench seat. Rear receiver for easylift side-in hitch, 20 inch tires, top speed around 55 MPH.
