For sale is a low mileage (45,000 miles) workhorse, its a custom built 1981 Chevrolet 70 Series V8 2000 gallon water tender / tanker. 427 cu gas engine, 5 speed manual transmission with 2 speed rear end, 2 wheel drive, PS, PB, 22.5 traction tires with 75%+ tread remaining. Brand new battery, heavy duty front bumper with 12V power, looks like its set up to receive a portable winch. 2 - 35 gallon fuel saddle tanks, Emergency lighting (the power has been disable per ebay policy). Bench seat with seating for 3, manual windows, no AC. I am including a 150GPM portable gas powered pump, it is removable from the unit to self fill from a water source, or use it on the tender for pump & roll capabilities when attached to the 2000 gallon water tank. a 10" drafting hose with strainer is included, see pictures below. The unit has a 2000 gallon baffled steel water tank with a 10 newton quick dump valve on the drivers side behind the cab. A large diameter tank fill is located at the rear of the tender with a stortz fitting. A 3500 gallon porta-tank is located on the Officers side. The porta-tank is housed/stored in a hinged, flip down framework for easy access when its in the down position. 3 lower Officers side compartments for storage. 2 traverse hose bays behind the cab for hose storage with side flood lights, a locking storage box is located on top of them. The drivers side has a hose tray the length of the tank for hose storage with 2 storage compartments below, there are also hangars off the tank on the drivers side for ground ladders or another porta-tank. The unit is set up/plumbed to receive the small portable fire pump that"s included in the auction. The unit is in good overall condition and fully operational. The vehicle is from Montana, It was just driven home 800 miles with no issues. With local fire resource getting stretched to the breaking point, this is a great insurance policy for personal property fire protection, dust abatement or water delivery.
