Up for auction is a beautiful 1981 RUST FREE Chevrolet C70 Fire Truck. This is a one owner truck (a small village vol. fire dept) with only 14,953 actual miles, The truck is powered by a sweet running 427 v8 gas engine with a 5 speed manual transmission in front of a 2 speed rearend. The truck has air brakes and very good tires all the way around, (traction tread on the rear and nice steering tires on the front) The truck Start, runs, drive and stops very nicely. The pumper / tanker body was custom built by Middlesex Fire equipment in Montpelier Vermont for the fire dept. and is equiped with a 1250 GPM single stage Darley pump and a 1500 gallon tank. It has a rear 6 inch quick dump, 2) pre-connected 1 1/2 inch front cross lays, 2) pre-connected 1 1/2 inch rear discharge, 1) 2 1/2 inch front suction, 1) 2 1/2 rear discharge, 4) 2 1/2 side discharges, 2) 2 1/2 inch side suctions, 2) 4 1/2 inch inlets and 1) pre-piped top mounted 1000 GPM Deluge connector. This truck would be a very nice parade piece, construction water truck or remove the rear body and have a beautiful low mileage cab & chassis for the body of your choice. I am about 50 miles from the Burlington International airport and I have a guy that will meet you there and bring you to my place for $100 cash if yuo fly in, I am 15 miles from the AMTRAK station in Randolph and I can meet you there with the truck if you wish to come in on the train. I am a Vermont Licensed used car dealer and I can provide a in- transit plate if you wish to drive this truck home.
