WOW! NO RESERVE AUCTION HERE FOLKS! This COE is A 1982 Ford C800 Pierce Pumper Firetruck. 33k original miles custom built in 1982 for the West End Fire Department in Maryland. This truck is awesome! It is powered by a 7.0 Gas Engine and a 5 Speed Transmission. Both of which run and drive great. Clutch is also good with a newer clutch slave cylinder and a basic tune up with plug wires was just performed. It cruises at 60-65 without a hitch and is a total blast to drive. Its almost impossible not to use the air horn going down the highway! Seems to have been well maintained by the fire company. The tilt cab and compression system controlling the brakes, park brake air horn and so on works very well. Two or three pumps on the accelerator with the choke on for a cold start is all it takes to fire the motor. There is a small spot of rust along the roof line as shown in photos and a small through hole on the bottom passenger side wall that is about 5 inches or so further down from the cab corner. Cab corner itself is solid. A small pin hole on the drivers side floor as well that is easily fixed or left as is. All lights, signals, wipers and so on are operational. No overheating issues or pressure issues it runs and idles very well. Comes with ladders, accessories, fittings and hose/nozzle assembly all as shown. Runs great. Drove 120 miles yesterday without a hitch. Chrome could use some polishing. Tires have lots of tread left. The previous owner told me that the pump system works and recommended a little soapy water to lube it up again if it were to be used. I have no idea how it works but its all present from what I can see and have been told by local fire crews. The log book is even in the engine that shows every time it was on call with addresses, crew members and so on. Very very cool! Compressor and all air accessories work nicely. Flashers/lights horns and PA/Sirens work as well. Get in and drive! Great show/parade/advertising piece or driver for a collector. This is not a fully restored showpiece. The back custom cab seat is torn and will need recovered if it bothers you enough. Paint has a few scuffs and scratches as it is all original paint. The storage cabinets all work and open and close normally. This truck has alot of cool history and nice do dads that come with it. None of its equipment was pulled by the department before its sale, it was all left in it to add to its appeal. My son loves this thing and will hate to see it go but thanks to the Home Owners Association, its got to go. Drive her home! Please forward any questions to me. I also have a video of the truck running on youtube. I will post the link for that as well. As is where is sale. Please make sure you cross your T"s and dot you I"s first. Its always a pain to relist items after dreamers win and vanish. Thanks folks!
