The rig is in excellent condition. It was in AZ all of its life so there is not a spot of corrosion anywhere, it was stored in a bay, and extremely well card for, and rarely used. It was owned by the original FD for about 25 years, then sold to another FD, who ten in turn gave it to a college who gave it to another FD who sold it to me. It is so clean that you could eat off of it.
It is powered by a 3208 CAT, extremely simple and reliable, possibly a bit underpowered, but it still gets to 70 mph. Allison automatic transmission, new tires and rims, and simulators.
the truck runs and drives very well, I drive it to work and to an occasional car show. It could be put back in front line service tomorrow with no concerns at all. everything runs, pumps and works. last aerial and pump certification expired in 2017.
