1983 International Harvester S-1700 Water Truck, Model #1754, 2-Door Regular Cab, Single Wheel Front Axle, Single Dual Wheel Rear Axle, International 9.0 Liter V8 (551CID) Diesel Engine, 5-Speed Standard Shift Manual Transmission w/2 Speed Rear End, Hydraulic Brakes, Vent, Fan, Heat, Manual Windows, Manual Mirrors, Front & Rear Spring Suspension, Steel Water Tank w/Valves, 188” Wheelbase, 9.00 – R20 Tires, VIN: 1HTAA17EXDHB11953, 323,454 Miles.
Located in Mississippi, this truck belonged to a local fire department, we just last week purchased this truck and several more from the fire department, purchased directly from the agency, not from a broker, dealer or auction, we are simply turning the truck into cash. After purchasing we put some hot batteries in this truck and cranked it up, engine has a rod knocking and it is blowing oil everywhere, took the batteries back out of it and selling for parts, clutch, transmission and brakes were all operational when they quit using it! It has a water tank, water tank body, 2-speed rear end, transmission and quite a few parts that are useable or you can switch engine or repair this one. The water tank looks to be in good condition with no holes or anything like that~ Please understand the truck is being sold for parts, we can crank it if you would like but you will need to haul it home, will not make it anywhere driving on its own power. We can load on any type trailer or transport, have dock, ramp, crane, forklift, etc.
