Selling my 1984 GMC C6000 Work truck. I am the second owner. Truck has been garage stored for 36 years. This truck was formerly a city utility vehicle traveling no more than 12 square miles. It was then switched over to the police department where it was the forensic evidence criminal investigation truck and was then used for explosive storage. I bought it from the public works department and drove 1,600 miles home. I have converted the box portion of the truck into a modern and sleek space. Coleman AC/Heat roof unit, new stained tongue and groove ceiling boards with canned lighting, turquoise metallic painted interior, shelving doors custom made out of cabinet grade 3/4 stained plywood, cork boards on the rear wall for imagination, inspiration, or storage. New custom steel side rack. Custom table top flips up for flexibility of space and use. The use of the space is up to your imagination. Use it as a mobile office, a camping vehicle, an art studio, a company event showcase vehicle, mobile shop, etc.
This is a Chevy 350 5.7L V8 OHV 16V engine, one of, if not the best, Chevy engines ever produced. It only has 14,422 miles on it. 4 speed manual transmission and 2 speed rear differential (high and low).
Generator only has 28 hours. Shore power included as well with outlets inside and out to run everything you need to for work or pleasure. 100 AMP electrical panel.
Added features: All exterior lights run off of the truck battery. Large Pintle tow hitch. Plenty of external storage space featuring six large lockable cabinets. GVWR: 16,000, GAWR Rear 11,000.
New spark plugs, engine timing re calibrated. Just drove the car 1,600 miles without any issues, incredibly smooth and trustworthy.
Dimensions: Bumper to bumper: 238. Total Exterior Width: 92. Total Height from Ground to Top of AC: 126. Total Exterior Height of Box: 98. Total Length of Box - Interior: 131-1/2. Total Width of Box and Shelving: 78. Total Width of Box without Shelving: 52. Depth of Shelving: 13-1/8. Interior Standing Height: 73
Clean title in hand.
Fuel gauge and radio currently not functioning. The radio does not have an antenna, previous antenna was removed because it belonged to the police department. The mechanic installed a new fuel sender rod but it is a universal model that is not reading correctly. GM Heritage Center remains closed due to the pandemic, once they are open they will provide details on correct fuel sender rod. Generator was not used in a while. Carburetor was cleaned but the air filter attachment needs to be reattached to hold the air filter and cover. All tires are from 2019, rear tires have hairline side cracking. Interior exhaust fan is not operational. Minor paint chips as seen in images.
