This truck until a few weeks ago was owned by a city/government agency in our neighboring State of Louisiana that recently replaced it with a new one because of age, not because of problems or issues, used by the public works department around the city since new (see auto-check history report – also see that it was never and has never been part of any flood, insurance claim, wreck, salvage or anything like that!). We purchased it directly from the city along with some other items, did not purchase from an auction, dealer or broker, simply turning into cash. The engine is strong with good oil pressure, not running hot, not slobbering or using oil, runs great with no leaks, issues or any type of warning lights on, transmission and clutch shift properly, brakes are good, pto/hydraulic boom/winch work properly and tire condition is great and can clearly be seen in the photos. Many positive things to say and a few negative things to bring out, first of all please take note that this unit is 22 years old, has been used around city for 22 years, probably has not traveled a long distance in a long time, the paint chipped, faded, scratched and worn all over, front bumper is bent up, front grille is busted up, the interior is not good – seats torn – dash busted up, it’s old and ugly, windshield is cracked, wiper blades are dry and cracked up, some of the tires show small dry cracks from being old and not used a lot, we have no idea if all the lights work, gauges, etc. We can tell you that you can hop in it, fire it up, drive it down the road, work the boom and winch and act like you are on a big job, all functions do work and the truck seems to be in good mechanical condition!
The batteries are good and crank the unit with no problem, we have cleaned the truck (not a full detail/polish just cleaned) inside and out and checked it out mechanically, fluid levels, belts, etc. have been inspected and we have driven it down the road and operated boom/winch with no issues. This truck is not a bad unit for its age mechanically and seems to have plenty of life left in it, could stand a little more detail cleaning, some TLC and as mentioned a good servicing to include wiper blades, engine oil/filter, air filter, etc.! We encourage anyone before bidding if at all possible to come inspect, drive it, work the boom/winch, check it out, send a message and we will send address and driving directions.
