Due to a downsizing of our collection, we are selling this 1986 Dennis Pump. This truck is on great shape, it was in service in Titchfield, England until 2000 when it was brought over to the US for display in our museum. It is fully equipped with all the tools and equipment it carried when in service in the UK. It"s really a cool truck and people love to see all the equipment the English use, right down to a wicker basket for a suction strainer! We"re focusing our collection on older rigs from the teens through the fifties, this is the perfect complement to your British car collection!
The truck is powered by a Perkins diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. The cab and chassis were made by Dennis in the UK, and the body was made by the Hampshire Fire Brigade shops, as was the custom until just recently. The truck is equipped with a fire pump in the back of the truck, which is operational and was last pumped in 2015. The engine is in great shape, the engine water pump was replaced in 2013. The truck is equipped with the European Hi/Low warning horn and fast flashing blue lights front and rear. It is right hand drive. Equipment includes nozzles, hoses, small gas water pump, chain saw, lighting, etc. The Hi/Low horn needs to be cleaned and oiled, it"s Italian and requires maintenance like a Ferrari. Currently not working but it will with some attention.
The truck is sold with a bill of sale, there is no title. It was brought in under an EPA and DOT exemption due to being less than 25 years old at the time of importation. Now that it is 25 years old it should be no problem to get a title and tags but check with your local authorities before bidding, this is completely the responsibility of the buyer. It has been road driven in our small town and trailered to Denver for showings there and no one has been concerned about the plates as long as we have insurance, but again that depends on your locale.
Truck is sold as is where is no warranties of any kind. Truck must be picked up within 14 days of the end of the auction, transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. $500 deposit must be received in the form of a cashier"s check within 3 business days of the end of the auction full payment must be received and check cleared before truck can be picked up.
