Up for sale is my 1988 ford flatbed tow truck I use the truck everyday and is currently inspected in new your state. The truck has a 7.3 idi non-turbo engine with a zf5 five speed transmission with roughly 140k miles. The tow equipment is a jerrdan 17ft aluminum bed with a stinger tow bar(works but needs hook repaired) (not a wheel lift).The hydraulics on the truck are very strong and the winch moves very fast. I"ve replace the following parts all within the past 4 months. .. 4 balljoints,2 front brake calipers,hoses and hard lines, all the tie rods and adjusting sleeves. I changed the glow plugs and installed a manual controler for ease of starting.I recently did all the u-joints aswell (there are 3).I had a smoke stack on this truck but have since replaced it with a quiet exhaust with a walker muffler.Tires are very recent and look brand new still all the lights work as they should. I bought new rear wheel cylinders and brake hose but haven"t changed them and are included with the truck (brakes work but are a bit spongy do to the rear bleeders being stuck). I still tow with it every day it"s been a great truck to me and I know it will treat the next owner right !!! This is a work truck not a show truck it has scratches on the bed mabee some small dings here and there but it works and makes money local pick up in East Hampton ny 11937
