Up for your consideration Is my Freightliner dump truck...1988 FLC started life as a tractor. The sleeper was taken off and a piece of glass was put in its place. makes it real nice when your berming. The frame was doubled all the way to under the cab. Rockwell 40K rears with 3:70 ratio. Rear pig was just out and gone through. Power comes from a big cam 4 cummins that has the step timing. Heads were replaced and bearings were rolled in from previous owner. Runs great with no issues. new built 4 core low flow radiator.
The A/C was completely done in 2014 from the condenser to the lines, compressor was change to a rotary style which is cheaper and a better design.
Transmission is a eaton fuller 13 speed. PTO was replaced last summer along with a new cable for the up/down. Brakes and drums on the rear, along with S-cams and bushings, brake maxi"s and slack adjusters were completely replaced in 2015. at the same time the Dayton wheels were changed over to aluminum buds..brakes and drums and bearings and seals were replaced also.
Had a new floor overlaid this spring 2016 before the season started.
there is always bad with the good...so here is the bad. .power steering pump leaks and the rear seal on the transmission..thats it with leaks. .I hate leaks. .the bed could use more work, the outside is starting to show its Ohio heritage and is getting some rot. along with some cross members, nothing hateful, but will need to be addressed. The torsion arms that go from the frame to the rear ends, the bushing is junked out. the passenger side windsheld wiper doesn"t work ( air operated )
Truck has strobes on the back and should have them on the front by the time this is posted,( rotator does not go with truck) electric tarp is older but still works great and doesn"t have holes in it. truck primary runs asphalt and millings and doesn"t go off road. bed has a few dings from trying to work for a excavating company, which didn"t work out.
Truck is a real head turner for some reason? I get thumbs up ALOT. the jakes are VERY loud and if that doesn"t get there attention, the train horns do..Kids to Harley people eat this truck up. hate to see this truck go, but I just built another that will be painted the same way...so it needs to go.
The truck is pick up only, in Ohio..Certified check, money transfer or cash. .reserve is 30ish and I will end the auction a any given time due to selling locally also..I will try and get some interior pics asap
