Wings of Hope acquired this 1989 Ford E-350 ambulance in 2012 with the intent to send it to an under-developed foreign base where it would help bring health care to those most in need. Unfortunately, that base never developed the ability to operate and support a vehicle of that complexity. We are therefore offering it for sale to anyone who might want it.

The ambulance was driven to our suburban Saint Louis, MO location without incident, but has been driven only infrequently since then. The following work was accomplished with the ambulance in our possession:
A break in the brake line above the rear differential was repaired by splicing in a new section of brake line.
A short in the electrical system causing the batteries to run down was traced to the circuit breaker on the side of the driver’s seat. The wire went to a battery pack charger in the back of the ambulance. It was disconnected and tagged in the back at the battery disconnect at post C. A new switch will need to be installed to use the equipment.
The left front brake caliper was rebuilt, and the right front caliper was replaced.
New brake pads were installed.
Two new batteries were installed within the last year.
The ambulance runs well, but a couple tires have some minor weathering.
