1989 Peterbilt 377 Tractor
This truck is complete less the engine and transmission. The driveshafts and radiator are included with the sale. The radiator is for a Cummins Lo-Flo cooling system. The truck was driven here, and the engine and transmission removed for another project. The truck was built with an 855 Cummins engine.
The Peterbilt Air Leaf rear suspension is in excellent shape, the frame is rust-free and flawless. Set forward front axle, 265 wheelbase. There are ten excellent aluminum Budd wheels on the truck. The fuel tanks are perfect - no dents, scratches or damage on the tanks at all.
I believe that the rears are about 3.55 ratio. There is a tag that I can check to confirm, if someone needs. The air bags, torque rods and bushings all appear to be in great shape.
The cab and the bunk are in excellent shape. The bunk is not a Uni-Bilt sleeper. The interior is very clean and all of the instruments and switches appear original and in working order. The instrument panels are in excellent shape. The interior is the Peterbilt Class model, with nicer upholstery and accents than a standard model. There are many of the owner-operator options like additional instruments, padded leather steering wheel, nicer trim etc. The seats have no tears or wear on the upholstery. The driver"s side upholstered door panel is a little worn, but not bad. The bunk interior looks excellent. All cab and bunk doors are in good operating order.
The hood is in good shape - no cracks or damage. The headlight covers need polishing and the front bumper needs replacing. The bumper is one of the cheap Texas style deep bumpers, and it is bent up a little. The radiator shell is excellent.
Overall this is a very clean and straight Peterbilt 377. To be roadworthy, you will need an engine and transmission, an exhaust stack (I removed the original) and driver side windshield (kids with BB guns in my storage yard!).
The truck is worth more money if I part it out - but I do not have the time or inclination to do so. Bring your trailer and I can help you load it.
