Up for auction is a 1990 ford L8000. This truck has only 76,277 actual miles, It was originally a storm drain vac truck but that body was removed and now it is a cab & chassis only but it is still equiped with a pto. I purchased it from a small town before removing the vac body, This truck is powered by a 6 cyl 7.8 liter diesel engine and a Allison automatic tranny, The truck has an air lift axle in fron of the rearend which also has brakes on it. The truck is equiped with air brakes and the gvwr is 40,500 pounds. The truck was never run in the winter so it has no rust (look closely at the pics) The frame is very clean and still has paint on it, The cab is also clean but has a dent in the rear cab corner andthe fiberglass hood has some holes that can easily be repaired, The tires are all over 50% tread remaining, It is 17 feet from the back of the cab to the end of the frame and it is about 15 feet from the back of the cab to the center of the rear axle. I installed temporary tail lights and it had flaps so it is ready to drive home. This truck runs, drives and stops very good. I believe you can drive this truck anywhere without a worry but it is a used truck and sold AS-IS. I am a licensed vermont used car dealer and I can provide a intransit plate if yuo are from out side of VT and wish to drive it home, I am about 50 miles from the Burlington International airport and I have a guy that will meet you there and bring you to my business for $100 cash, I am only 15 miles from the AMTRAK staion in Randolph and I can meet you there with the truck if you wish to come in on the train.
