Up for auction is a 1991 Camel Model 200M/8 9-yard sewer combination truck on a Chevrolet Kodiak chassis. This is a diesel powered unit with 36,866 original miles and 5669 engine hours.
This truck is designed as a combination vacuum and high pressure sewer cleaning machine to be used for cleaning sewers and catch basins. The vacuum system uses a positive displacement “Roots” type model #4064 vacuum pump. The high pressure water system uses a Meyers model #D65-20AVD industrial water pump.
This truck is equipped with a Caterpillar 3116-215 hp engine and Allison MT653 automatic transmission. The GVWR rating is 36,220 lbs. with a 13,220 lb front GAWR and a 23,000 lb rear GAWR.
This truck comes with a Vulcan electronic on board rear axle weight scale, work lights, 1,000 gallon plastic water tanks, and approximately 400 feet of 1” 2500 PSI Cobra hose on the front reel. The tires and brakes are good (new rear tires in January) and everything on the truck works except for the vacuum gauge on the front control panel. The overall vehicle condition is consistent with most 25-year old work trucks. It has a clear California title and is sold without license plates.
This truck comes equipped with a level 3 Cleaire Horizon-M HZJ-208-121212-90 electrically regenerated DPF (diesel particulate filter) installed on the exhaust. This active regeneration system requires an 18 amp 208/240 volt single phase power supply to cook off the diesel particulate trapped in the filter while the truck is parked overnight. This regeneration process is periodically needed to keep the DPF operating properly. This DPF must remain installed on the truck if the new owner wants to register the truck in California.
This vehicle is owned and used by a municipality and has always received regular preventive maintenance service. Included with the purchase are service/repair/operators manuals as well as service records dating back to 2001 and some miscellaneous items shown in the photos. No other parts or accessories come with the vehicle.
