1992 Kenworth T800 Roll Off Truck with Henrickson Suspension, Caterpillar 3176, 350HP, 10 Speed Eaton Fuller Roadranger Transmission, A/C, Good 11R/24.5 tires, 50,000 pound K-PAC hoist, and K-PAC tarper.
Bought this truck from K-Pac Krause Corporation in Hutchinson Kansas when they had their plant operating there. They built the truck and sold it as a complete unit. We bought new Kenworth 880"s and don"t need this one. It starts, runs, and drives very well, it does have a current DOT inspection so all the functions are operational and pass inspection. I do not know the actual miles but all the gauges do work and everything functions as it should. The engine was reworked in the last 6-7 years (this is not the engine that came with the truck from the factory, at some point, it has been changed), the transmission in the past 3 years, and at various points, the 3rd members have been done but I have no idea when. The shop changes the oil and all fluids at the recommended intervals. All of the fluids have just been changed except for the hydraulic oil.
About 9-10 years ago the rails cracked just before the hoist pins on the rear, so we took it to a local truck repair shop that does a lot of fabrication on heavy trucks. They welded the cracks and we"ve had no more issues. The tarper arms have bent, and broke at various times, they were patched in the field and hold up fine. You can see these in the photos. The truck was painted before we acquired it, but the flaking paint in some areas shows it was yellow and blue and the current white paint is good to fair. Our logo on the door was buffed good but in the light, you can still faintly see it. Some fiberglass cracks right by the hood hinges that are common with the older T800"s. This truck was used locally in town on short runs setting boxes for rent and occasionally to the landfill. It has no problems that we know of. It has had some patching here and there but it has really been a good older truck that we can actually work on with none of the high tech emission control. I can send more photos as requested.
