This truck is a fantastic opportunity for someone who needs a powerful and reliable unloader. We purchased this truck from an Alabama dealer, removed the current flatbed and installed a USTC boom crane with masonry block forks. The truck is in excellent shape and is used very little. I do not know the actual miles but believe them to be under 200,000. (I may still have the original odometer somewhere.) The crane is able to lift 4,500 lbs at its full 35" reach. Outriggers work as they should and hold pressure properly. Unit has a near new wireless remote control and there is a manual control box on the drivers side of the truck. Wooden deck is also new.
Truck can easily accommodate two additional axles for higher hauling capacity. We have it registered for 54,000 GVW. The engine is a very reliable mechanical 350 hp engine which has a recent fuel injector pump. I personally drove this truck from Erie, PA to New Jersey and back again without issues. You don"t need to downshift, but it rides very comfortably with a load on it. Camel back suspension is tight and springs are perfect.
The cab is unusually free from rust, considering the age of the vehicle. Cab corners and rockers are in great shape. As I said, this truck was lightly used for several years but was properly maintained to assure reliability. I have other trucks with the same crane and decided that we would downsize our fleet. A new crane of this type costs over $105,000 today and is special ordered. Add a new cab and chassis below that and a new rig would cost upward of $200,000 new today. This is ready to work now for a small fraction of the price.
