Detroit 60 series 11 liter 350 horse. Has 200k on in frame ( no documents, 8 years ago). the engine recently broke a piston (not sure why) as well as 2 bent valves as a result. Hans Freightliner in Cleveland replaced the valves and guides on that cylinder only(#4). Northern Eagle Truck Repair also in Cleveland replaced the liner and piston, they also did the in frame. The truck starts right up, runs, drives, and sounds great. the turbo is fine, however I never had to to replace it in the ten years I drove/owned the truck. Also, the engine fan is completely gone (fan, hub, and mount). air lines from air tank are still there. I tried to add a electric fan about five years ago, but didn"t work like I thought it would. The original parts were scrapped by someone at the terminal were I had the truck leased. Over heating was never a issue, as I was able to pick and choose my loads. I very seldom left Cleve., I put about 20k miles a year on the truck. In fact, 2016 I had to leave the Bra on from October till late May, or it wouldn"t build heat at all. There is no air con. condenser either.
In the last 10 years, I was the only one to drive the truck. I spent a great deal of money and time replacing parts, some just simply for looks. Starter and solenoid have 0 miles, its brand new. Steer tires are 98%, 4 drives are also 98% and virgin rubber (24.5 high pro). The last four drives are barley legal. I had to make a wood battery cover as I couldn"t stop the theft of the Aluminum cover. Shocks on drives are 1 year, left side fuel tank is brand new, and polished Aluminum. Right side fuel tank has no leaks or issues, and is polished. all fuel lines from tanks to motor are less than 3 years. wind shield and seals are in great shape no cracks. Both drive axles have newer brake shoes, drums, and backing plates (about 20k on them). Steering box, drag link, and power steering tank are about a year old. King pins are fine. The hood and Grill are in excellent shape, no cracks, breaks, or missing parts. Steel chrome bumper, added in Nov of 15.Tranny is a Eaton 10 speed, the clutch has only been adjusted once since new, it might have 20k on it. New shifter bushing and boot as well. Newer cab shocks and cab leveling valve. All U-joints and carrier bearings about 30k on them. Lower steel radiator hose replaced 3 years ago, but still kept rust free. Steel Radiator fill tank also replaced and rust free. Rubber rear spring bushings are about 4 years, and in great shape. Holland fifth wheel added about 5 years ago, well maintained and in great shape. AM/FM single disc radio with new factory speakers. Cruise control works fine, As do all the lights and signals. Oil and water filters(Mobil one) have less than 100 miles, antifreeze is perfect and ready for winter. The ENTIRE exhaust is about 2 years old, with a stainless shield and stack, absolutely no exhaust leaks. The truck had a very rigid maintenance schedule. There"s a Fairley good size dent in the back of the cab hidden behind the muffler, but can be easily fixed. All Aluminum wheels were polished 4 years ago, and clean up nicely. The truck is super clean top to bottom, interior and bunk are in decent shape too. 2 drive brake chambers are newer, the others are in OK shape. 3slack adjusters on the drives appear worn, 1 is a couple years old. the fronts are in roadworthy shape. Cruise control, diff lock, and Jake Brake all work fine. Fuel gauge and leveling valve are newer.
Truck sold as is where is, Bid with confidence. Seller accepts cash/ PayPal, no trades. Thanks for your interest.
On Oct-15-16 at 13:18:21 PDT, seller added the following information:
As of 10/15/2016 there is a small amount of oil coming out of the front of the turbo. After removing the exhaust manifold, the oil is coming from just one of the head ports. I wouldn"t be able to tell anything further without pulling off the head. again, the truck starts and runs fine. I bobtailed it 20 miles without incident, it doesn"t blow any smoke either.
