Just in time for the 2020 fire season, I have a 1995 International G4900 Type-3 4x4 Wildland Fire Engine for sale, only 4747.2 original miles! Here is a quick history of this Apparatus. This Unit was custom built and used by the Burlington Fire Department in MA, in 2014 it was traded-in to Firematic when they bought a new Wildland Engine. The Fire Department I purchased it from, bought it from Firematic in 2014 with 3,900 miles, they were the vehicles second owners. They used this Engine the last 6 years as their first-out Wildland Fire response unit. It was replaced this year with a newer Wildland Engine. The unit is fully operational, in nice overall condition, its got many years of service life remaining. 6.4L International engine, Allison 4 speed automatic transmission, (2) speed transfer case (High/Low), air brakes, P/S, New 22.5” steel rims and Goodyear G622 RSD 10R 22.5” traction tires, 100% tread remaining ($5400 receipt included). (2) door cab, (3) person bench seat with (3) seat belts.
Custom Rear Poly Intregrated Wildland Fire Truck Body, Vanguard 18HP V-Twin 500 gpm Centrifugal fire pump (195hrs) providing pump & roll capability, the Vanguard engine draws directly from the 40 gallon onboard fuel tank. 750 gallon Poly water tank, there are tank water level indicators at the rear pump panel and inside the cab. The unit is set up with (2) - 1 ½” transverse pre-connects behind the cab, (1) 1 upper hose bed booster reel supply line, (1) rear 1 ½” discharge, (2) rear 2 ½” discharges, (1) rear 2 ½” suction intake, (1) rear 2 ½” direct tank fill/gravity dump valve. (4) rear mounted 12V scene/flood lights. (2) 10’ 2 ½” hard suction hoses. (3) side storage compartments on each side of the vehicle, (4) rear SCBA bottle or Fire Extinguisher storage Compartments. The hose bed has wooden slats and is pre-plumbed to receive a hannay booster reel, the previous one was removed by the fire department.
The Wildland Fire Engine is in nice overall condition, the exterior red paint is in really good shape, whelen emergency strobe lighting, ( The emergency lighting has been disabled per policy ) This unit is ready to go back into municipal service, do contract work or provide personal property protection during the summer fire season. She’ll go just about anywhere, just put her in 4x4 low range. Fantastic ground clearance, with its angle of approach and departure. You can get 750 gallons of water into some pretty remote areas and self-draft to refill from a lake, pond, creek, drainage ditch, canal, etc.

I will store the vehicle up to 60 days with full payment for the new owner to arrange transport. The vehicle is geared hi for off road usage, with a top speed of around 50mph.
