NO RESERVE!! HIGH BIDDER DRIVES IT HOME Selling my handy Grumman Van. Here"s what I know, I will tell you everything I"ve noticed, please look at the pictures carefully before you bid. Feel free to ask questions, I will answer ASAP. This van runs and drives good, I wouldn"t hesitate to run it a distance. Vehicle is located in Columbia, PA 17512. Can be viewed prior to auctions close. 1996 Chevrolet Grumman 16000 GVW Dual Rear Wheels Electric Lift Gate Propane Tank & Furnace Auxiliary AC Unit inside 6.5 Liter Diesel Engine Non Turbo Model Has some E-Track installed-comes with a few straps MISC parts from being decommissioned as a tool van-On board Battery Charger, Junction Power Block? (these are in picture #14) I bought this van and have only driven it locally, It is not currently inspected. Glow plugs work great and it starts right up even when cold, smokes for about a minute than runs clean. Newer battery and alternator, has 2 batteries in it under the drivers seat in a floor hatch. Headlights, running lights and brake lights all work fine. Dash lights work also. Transmission shifts nice and firm going down the road. Its not a race truck but does get pretty good fuel mileage. Electric lift gate works very well, Its 4.5 feet long and as wide as the truck. It is aluminum and easy to fold/unfold. Truck is 22" from front to back. about 15 feet behind the drivers seat partition. Drives pretty straight down the road, tires look OK-see pictures. theres a little chrome peeling off the rims here and there. I removed 99% of the previous graphics, there is a little bit of residual glue but is really close to being nice and white. I left the SOUTH SIDE logo on the front because my wife liked it. SHE NEEDS A GOOD WASHING on the outside, the inside is pretty clean as you can see in the pictures. The under side of the motor is fairly clean for a diesel, no leaks I"ve noticed. Brakes feel good. Body is straight and aluminum. Here"s what I noticed as far as maintenance: Sometimes when you start it the belt squeaks for a few seconds than is fine. There is a little belt noise so maybe it needs a tensioner or idler pulley, never has been an issue for me though. There is a little oil around the rear axle where the driveshaft goes in, doesn"t drip just looks a little greasy. I have never attempted to use the AC inside or the propane furnace, I do not know their current condition, the interior lights in the back don"t work since the tool company removed their equipment. One of the lower small mirrors on the passenger side has a crack in it. There was an 8 inch square hole cut in the rear floor for some previous equipment-should be easy to fix. Windshield wipers arent working right now, not sure when they stopped. The ebrake holds a little bit, needs tightened. Rear door doesn"t latch but the lock works to hold it shut. There was a broken UBolt in the back on the axle when I took these pictures-I WILL HAVE THIS REPAIRED BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS so that it can be safely driven. A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction, full payment within 72 hours. I have a clean PA title in my name that can be transferred to the new owner.
