I am relisting this truck because I noticed a leak in the master cylinder. I couldn"t get a new one installed before the auction ended so I ended the auction. I will have a new one installed on it before this auction ends. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused those bidding or planning to bid, but I didn"t want the winning bidder to come after a truck with a bad brake master cylinder. The Hi Bidder was over $3000.00 so I am starting the bidding at $2850.00 I am selling this truck because I have leased my farm out to another farmer and I am retiring from the sawmill business.
Up for Auction is a 1998 Ford F-700, class 6, Flat Bed Truck that is Non CDL and has hydraulic brakes. This means if your licensed to operate a automobile, you have the correct license to operate this truck. This Item sells as is with no reserve. It is also listed locally. The truck is located 18 miles south of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The GVW is 25,900 Lbs. Front Axle is 9,000Lbs. , Rear Axle is 16,900 Lbs. It has a 15 Ft steel flat bed. I used the truck to Haul wood products from our sawmill to the pallet mill (about 15 miles away) when we had less than a eighteen wheeler load. I also used it to haul rice, corn and bean seed in the spring. The truck runs and drives great and looks pretty darn good. The motor and transmission are strong. The hood paint is slightly brighter than the cab, but it"s pretty close. The only spots of body rust I saw, are around the water channel area over the door (see pictures) The dash is in good shape. The driver side headlight area has had some body work please look at pictures not bad but not perfect either. The windshield is good. There is a spot where the hood closes and mates up to the cowl next to the ford f-700 emblem or badge, on the driver side . They touch each other it has made a couple of small chips in the paint/fiberglass not big maybe the size of a pencil erasure. The wheels could use a coat of paint. It would make the truck look even better I purchased the truck in 2013. The guy I got the truck from had a new crate motor from NAPA put in it a couple of years earlier. I estimate the motor has less than twenty thousand miles on it. The rear brakes were redone about 1500 miles ago. I had new drum brakes, hubs, wheel cylinders and whatever else it needed at a cost of over $1400.00. This week it will get a new brake master cylinder. The V-8 7.0L 429Cu. In gasoline engine starts easily whether it"s 10 degrees or 100 degrees outside. It doesn"t smoke or burn oil. The truck has a mechanical speed governor. I was going to have it taken off but sometimes my wife would haul wood to the pallet mill and I have no doubt she would have drove considerably faster than the 67 MPH it"s set at. And 55 MPH loaded is fast enough on the roads around here. It has an Automatic 4 speed transmission that works and shifts like it is supposed to. Has power steering, the A/C , wipers, lights, heater, parking brake and backup beeper all work. The tires are good. If I needed to drive this truck across the Great USA from east coast to west coast I don"t believe I would have any problems. It"s a good solid Truck. I require a $500.00 deposit within 48 hours and payment in full within seven days after the auction ends. If you have a positive feedback rating of less than ten and you wish to bid please contact me first. If you need to, you can leave it here for up to thirty days. Your welcome to and encouraged to, come inspect it before you bid. Please do not bid unless you will follow thru. Thank You for looking at my listing And Have A Great Day
