Here we have a decent older Rollback for sale at NO RESERVE . It is a 1998 Ford F-800 with a 5.9 Liter Cummins Diesel and a 7-Spd Spicer transmission. The truck runs and drives great and everything works on it. The wheel lift and bed system is very strong. You can haul crew cab long bed trucks or small f-550 cab & chassis trucks, etc. and still use the wheel lift.
These trucks are much heavier built than the F-550. They have good suspension under them and a lot heavier brakes as well as a Electric over Hydraulic back up brake system with a park brake that works like an air brake maxi so when you park these trucks on a hill with a load on them they stay parked. The cab and frame of the truck is excellent with no rust but some of the bed cross members are rusty mostly over the rear tires and the outer bed rail will need some repair as well. The bed is still very strong and works great but those cross members will need some work before long.
Overall this is a decent truck for the age. It will make someone a good starter truck if you don"t want to spend 100K for a new one this size. And with the old reliable 5.9 Cummins with no emissions and a 7 spd manual trans. it is easy to maintain for years to some. As with any truck this age there is some wear and blemishes but pretty decent overall.
