1998 Peterbilt 379 extended hood with unibilt 63 flat top sleeper. Equipped with 550HP 3406E Cat, 15 speed transmission, and 3:36 Eaton 404 rears. Truck is well equipped with american class interior, all aluminum wheels, etc. Runs and drives well. I don"t know a lot about the truck. It was traded to me on a more expensive truck I had and I have absolutely no use for it. I am not a truck dealer. The previous owner told me it had 300,000 on a complete overhaul at Cleveland Bros. Cat, but had no paperwork. The engine does have a Cat low nox overhaul sticker on it but the date is illegible. Mileage reads 1,076,000 and is very believable. The pictures speak for themselves. This is a very nice, well maintained truck that hasn"t been beat!

Several people have asked about the A/C. I started the truck today and checked it. The compressor cycles on and off and the lines get cold and make condensation but it does not get cold in the cab. I also noticed that the engine fan is not coming on with the A/C but the green fan light in the dash cluster is lit. I"m guessing it must have a bad pressure switch or something but that is purely a guess. I also noticed that the A/C lines to the bunk have been disconnected and plugged.

Being re-listed because the buyer refused the truck when he came to pick it up. The buyer did not want it because I could not prove it had been overhauled. Please go back and read the description and be clear! I have no paperwork for the overhaul. The truck has little to no blow-by and no major oil leaks (I actually do not see any leaks at all). This truck is VERY respectable! I just ran it through the shop and checked the brake adjustments, lights, fluid levels in th drive train, etc. and it is ready for you to drive it home!! Look at the pictures closely and bid with confidence. What you see is what you get, a nice truck!
