This truck doesn"t rely on all those sensors and technical BS that people hate. So you wont break down due to a problems with emissions technology. This truck is mechanical and very reliable. I ended up installing a lot of new parts so the new owner can just start it and go. I always brought my truck to Caterpillar for maintenance or any issues. I never had any major issues cause I treated this truck like my kids. If you take care of your truck it will take care of you. I"m 63 years old and drive like I"m 63 years old. I obey speed limits and never put this truck in danger. When your across the US you want to make sure you can make it back. I have listed a lot of new parts so its ready for the new owner. I know I haven"t listed them all but what i can think of off the top of my head. I have great mechanics ready to help just in case and I had them list everything I would need to replace before selling it. Just so I can sleep at night when the new owner takes this truck over. | “This truck has been very reliable and never had any major issues. I was very strict with scheduled maintenance and took very good care. I decided to come off the road and stay local, driving a Tri-Axel Dump truck. Here is a little info on the Freight-liner. Wheel Base extended to 253FT, New Radiator and Clutch. Two new thermostats, new belt, new starter. New front tires and the back are at 75%, brakes are at 80%. This truck comes with a 2 stage Jake Brake as well as the original Air Scoop for the top of the cab.” |
