Selling a one owner 1999 International 4900 single axle truck with 165,036 original miles on it. It was a Pepsi on site truck. It still went through regular DOT inspections while in service but was used for on site transport. It has a DT466E motor w/230 hp. Transmission is a Tremec ESO66-7B 7 speed synchronized w/overdrive. Spicer rear end model W230-S with a 5:63 gear ratio. Total GVWR 32k lbs. Sitting on 11R22.5 tires w/Budd wheels. Truck is air ride. Truck will start, run and drive.
I occasionally get trucks from these folks. Usually the bodies are a little rough but the mileage is always low. I sent to a local diesel shop in Flint, MI, where truck is located, as a solenoid in starting system was faulty. We fixed that and were able to inspect truck. Below is what they found:
Body has wear as well as interior
Clutch needs adjustment/repair-functioning but they felt like it would need attention in near future
Driver side brakes have wear
3 tires have wear
The truck does not have a current DOT but I am sure the service center could perform one easily enough. I get trucks all over the US so I always have them sent to a service center for repair list if any, especially when I am not where the truck is. The mileage has been verified with the folks at Pepsi. Inspection is welcome during auction. It is becoming very difficult to sell trucks on ebay with people who purchase trucks at half their value and expect them to be in perfect condition. We don"t make those claims and never will. There is wear on the truck as there would be with any other truck that is 16 years old. Delivery is available at buyers expense.
