We are selling off our small fleet of vehicles used for serving pools. (4 trucks total so check back if you are in the market)
You are looking at a Chevrolet 2500 cut away or box truck depending on what you like to call them.
We bought this about 4 years ago and as soon as I got it I took it to my mechanic and told him to make it reliable. I Put about $4000 into repairs and maintenance at that point (front end parts and miscellaneous items) Since then all I"ve replaced is the starter. The engine fires right up and sounds great with plenty of power. There are NO warning lights (cel"s) and for the most part the truck is very sound and drives well. I just put 4 brand new tires on it about a month ago.
Other than not being in perfect cosmetic condition there are only 2 issues I am aware of.
It started leaking brake fluid from the engine bay a few months back. It looses about 1/2 a small bottle of fluid per month with regular use. (could be a loose hose but it could need something more I"m really not sure) We just stopped needing the truck so I didn"t get a chance to get it to the shop. It also seems to shift late in first gear if you are into the gas. It will shift fine if you are not running up the RPM"s. Thats just in first gear though, all other shifts are on time and smooth. Not sure if that"s a shift sensor or what... I would drive this anywhere without hesitation and typically it would go into the shop to get what it needed at the end of the season which is what we do for all our trucks but we are closing our doors and will no longer need it
