I am selling my 2000 Freightliner FL60 custom built RV hauler.
We are selling a 2008 Teton RV trailer so no longer have a need for the truck. The truck was custom built to be a hauler but can be used for other purposes. I recently drove the truck from the fabrication shop in Philadelphia PA to it"s current location in Illinois, approx. 1,000 miles and it ran like a new truck. I averaged 13 mpg unloaded.
The truck was a city of Philadelphia service truck for the water dept. all of it"s life until couple of years ago I purchased it and removed the old service body and fabricated the hauler bed. We worked on the bed for the better part of a year as a personal project. I ran a carfax report on the truck prior to my purchase and it came up clean with no problems.
If you are looking for a truck with a car type ride this is not the truck for you. .it is a workhorse built and designed to haul/tow weight. Our camper is rated at 24,000 pounds but the truck pulls it great.
My original plan was to build some type of toolbox/storage box behind the cab which would include some additional fuel storage so I could drive all day w/o having to stop for fuel except by choice. But I also considered adding some type of sleeper behind the cab. .thus nothing got done because of my indecision so it is an empty space for the new owner to decide.
This is a fun and simple truck to drive, with the short wheelbase you can very easily park it in any space you like. Take it to Home Depot and use it for your basic pickup truck. .of pull your 5th wheel trailer. .it was designed to be very versatile. Being a 2000 year model it is w/o all the complicated and expensive emissions equipment of the newer trucks, and with only 107k miles it will last forever. Truck just needs a new owner now to complete it.
I will consider some trades. .a smaller truck or possibly a travel or cargo van. .maybe an RV trailer, 5th wheel camper or motorhome. .cargo trailer. .certain motorcycles and trikes,,,,certain corvettes. .actually anything that I can use or enjoy.
I will list some comments to describe the truck below:---clear Illinois title---new paint job on entire truck---it has the 8.3 Cummins diesel motor... approx. 107,000 miles---I am unsure of engine horsepower. .think it is stock 225---5 speed auto transmission---6 brand new 19.5 tires...painted steel rims---truck is 20,000 GVWR (8,000 front axle and 12,000 rear axle)---air brakes and air ride suspension---air ride driver"s seat only---32,000 pound air ride 5th wheel hitch with 5,000 pound tongue weight, two air bags---no gooseneck ball installed, but can be added easily on current steel plate---typical 7 way electrical plug for lights---custom built hauler bed with chrome deck---built in storage tool boxes on each side---built in storage tool box under bed with access door on top---class 5 bumper hitch/receiver---LED lights---call eight47three09zero245---138 wheelbase...great for pulling large trailers---cold A/C and hot heater---manual door locks, manual windows, power steering---truck weighs 11,700 pounds as it sits (weighed at CAT scale)---cash sale only. .not checks unless we discuss in advance---price is firm
Please feel free to contact me with questions. I have listed the truck on my wife"s new Ebay account so we can start building some feedback for her. I have been an Ebay customer since 2000 with 100% feedback.
I will work with the new owner concerning delivery as I can. I prefer a cash sale, no checks unless discussed in advance. Selling to the lower 48 states only.
