For sale 2000 gmc c6500 has the 3126 cat and the at545 allison transmission. There seems to be a fuel issue with the truck. Previous owners put in a used set of injectors and I was told by cat that the injectors were a part number off? Cat put 1 new injector in number 1. The owners didn"t want to put all new injectors in engine. After I got truck took to diesel shop close to me to have truck looked at he reseal ed injectors and looked stuff over didn"t seem to make difference. I put over grand in this and don"t want to put anymore in it. Truck will.run 40 to 50 mph down road. It doesn"t seem to have much power. I believe it"s fuel injector related. The truck starts great and idles fine. No smoke and doesn"t loose prime from sitting? It doesn"t have any engine oil in fuel or fuel in oil. The engine doesn"t stall or anything just doesn"t have huge power. It doesn"t have any service lights on dash going off. Has couple small oil drips. Cat said no warranty work has been done using engine vin. This truck was built new by zips truck equipment in new Hampton iowa. The cab of the truck body wise is in good shape, will need some touch up where decals were. Front nose has couple parts missing around headlight area. Inside cab has air drivers seat, has ac cab but previous owners took ac box off outside of cab along with ac lines to put a turbo on engine? Ac compresser is on engine and seems ok. All glass is good, drivers door needs window track work and new door bushings. The pass door needs inside handle. Gages work with the exception of the temp and the tach. Truck has fast idle switch in cab that works fine. Blower motor settings work fine. Radio works . Truck has a 21 ft Vulcan bed with wheel lift. Think wheel lift is rated around 3000lbs. The bed 10,000 lbs. Has 8 d rings In bed. Has couple cluster hooks that go with. 8000lb Ramsey winch works well will need new cable. All hydraulic cylinders, hoses on bed seem fine. All controls on both sides of bed working fine.Tires are 19.5 the backs are Hankooks, inside duals look little choppy. Outside duals both look like have even wear. Front drivers tire is new brand is double coin? Pass front is Michelin with ok tread. Truck seems to wonder bit going down road maybe just alignment? Not sure. Has Alcoa aluminum wheels. Pto is controlled by switch in cab ran off transmission. The transmission shifts fine and is strong. It has a parking brake button on dash but doesn"t work. The truck doesn"t seem to go into park some websites said this allison transmission doesn"t have park? I"m not sure. All headlights, brake lights, marker lights and tail lights work as should. The lights on top of bed and one rear work light don"t work. The lights on control box"s work for bed. Brakes work good and are strong. Truck doesn"t have light bar. Has 6 round pin plug in.bk for lights. Has strapless style wheel lift. Has clear title. I"m sure I"m forgetting some stuff, any questions please call 515-490-0302.
