    2000 INTERNATIONAL 4900/ PIERCE 1250 GPM PUMPER
Thanks for viewing this UNBELIEVABLE, pristine, ONE OWNER, currently in-service fire truck. It has 20,560 original miles, with 1427 measured hours. We, Callao car Center, are listing this vehicle for sale as a favor to the local volunteer fire department. We are NOT being compensated for yur efforts. Feel free to call us with specific questions, 804-529-6969. Please ask for John.
This is a very low mileage unit, that has been well maintained as it served this community. It has spent its entire life resting in the fire house...except of course when it was performing.
We will release it immediately to the buying company or individual. It comes fully equipped so it can be immediately placed in service in your locality. We have attempted to comprehensively list the equipment. However, it is possible that we have omitted some valuable information. We will also sell this truck without the fire/rescue equipment if that is your desire. Call us to discuss your specific needs.
The purchase price of this truck in year 2000, without the accessories or equipment, was approximately $200,000. To purchase it today we have been told it would be in excess of $400,000. Callao Volunteer Fire Department just spent over $600,000 for a replacement. We think it is a TRUE bargain at the asking price of $90,000.
    HISTORY OF APPARATUS OWNERSHIP
The apparatus was purchased new by the Callao Volunteer Fire Department from Singer & Associates and delivered in the summer of the year 2000.
This apparatus includes the following features:
    A. 2000 year model Navistar / International 4900 series two-door cab and chassis with a International DT530, 300 HP engine and an Allison Model MD3060P “World Automatic Transmission”. The front axle system is rated at 14,000 pounds (GAWR) and the rear is rated at 27,000 pounds
(GAWR) for a total GVWR rating of 41,000 pounds.
    B. Body is a Pierce brand fire apparatus body. The fire body is fabricated of Grade 5052-H32 .125” thickness smooth aluminum formed material insulated mounted to a carbon steel support structure. The original warranty on the body was for 10 years OR 100,000 miles which ever came first. At this time, the body warranty is expired.
    C. The front mounted fire pump is a W. S. Darley Model PSF single stage pump NFPA rated at 1250 GPM. The W.S. Darley pump warranty provision has mostly expired except for the casting warranty.
    D. The 1000 gallon water tank is constructed by United Plastic Fabricator.
Additional features that this apparatus hase that are built-into the unit are:
    1) Discharge Locations – The front mounted fire pump provides not only regular and large diameter hose outlets at the front of the vehicle as well as a 2-1/2” discharge to the rear and two (2) 2” cross lays at mid-ship for versatile outlet.
locations around the apparatus. On today’s modern apparatus, premium money
    2) Front Large Capacity Valve Inlet – This 6” inlet is provided at the front of the unit.
    3) The front extended bumper area includes a recessed hose storage well for 100 feet of 1-3/4” fire hose for ease of making attacks off of the front of the apparatus.
    4) 2-1/2” direct tank fill valve inlet at the driver’s side rear of the body for ease of receiving pressurized water directly into the water tank rather than thru the fire pump.
    5) The supply piping from the water tank to the fire pump includes two (2) 3” piping into a 4” pump inlet for maximum water supply for either supplying another fire apparatus or in an attack mode.
    6) Non-ferrous Body Materials – Ease in compartment maintenance versus a steel body.
    7) The unit has a Honda 3,600 watt four-cycle gasoline fueled mounted generator that can be started or turned off at either of three locations for ease of operator use (in the cab, at the front mounted pump area, as well as on the generator unit itself).
    8) Two (2) 500 watt Fire Research 120 volt telescoping floodlights are mounted on each side of the apparatus body for scene illumination. These are switched at the front mounted pump panel area for ease of operator use. This lends the vehicle for both structural type fire fighting as well as a rescue engine which is a bonus.
    9) The body compartments are outfitted with a totally appropriate amount of shelving and floor mounted roll-out trays for effective storage of NFPA EQUIPMENT and should require very little additional cost to the fire department in putting the vehicle into service.
    10) The large transverse front compartment affords an enormous extra amount of compartment space with access from either or both sides.
    11) The roll-up compartment doors provide deeper storage areas than hinged doors would have.
    12) The primary hose bed exceeds the NFPA minimum sizing and thus will permit storage of minimum of 500 feet of 2-1/2 attack or supply hose as well as up to 1000 feet of 5” supply hose. Two (2) adjustable lengthways divider boards are provided for separating different sizes hoses.
    13) The open mounting of the front mounted fire pump provides ease of access for service and repairs without having to disassembly body compartmentation as is found in a midship pump configuration.
    14) The existing Whelen strobe lights can easily be upgraded to Whelen LED lights utilizing the same mounting bolt patterns and cabling.
    15) The fire department replaced all of the diesel engine injectors in 2015 as well as replacing the high pressure engine oil pump in 2013 which are major operational components of the diesel motor.
    16) Per the fire department, the apparatus will include the following miscellaneous equipment. (Note: this equipment is in varying condition depending on the item).
