2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Bucket Truck
This truck has been in my business for almost 5 years. It was our first bucket truck we bought. We have now grown to a point that this truck is no longer any use to us anymore. Because of its height it has been parked in my shop more then I would like. The truck has been a great truck. It has been the most reliable truck I have ever had. The CUMMINS motor is a great motor and I wish it was in all my trucks.
Since we owned this truck we have not had any major problems with it. The truck has always fired right up and runs great. It has been on numerous out of state trips for our sign installations. The one issue the truck does have is it needs to be double clutched in 3rd gear. The truck has been like that since we bought it. Our transmission guy said not to replace it since it was nothing big and it shouldn"t get worse. We have been driving it that way for over 4 years and it has not gotten any worse.
The hydraulic fluid in the lift has just been changed out along with the glass eyes on the boom. The tires are in great shape and have a lot of miles left in them. We have more aggressive tires on the truck for better traction on our job sites. Listed below is the specs of this truck.
