This utility body truck until a week ago was owned by a school district in our neighboring state of Louisiana, was used as a maintenance work truck since new in 2001 by the district, has been maintained properly and simply replaced with a new one because of age and miles not because of issues or problems – also before you ask this truck was not damage by any flooding in LA – not around a flood! We purchased the truck directly from the school district with a package of items which including several trucks and vans, not from an auction, dealer or broker, simply turning this one into cash. After purchasing we cranked it up, loaded on a trailer and hauled back to our location, checked all fluids, washed it and photographed for eBay, then put new battery in it and drove down the road, runs and drives but has a serious engine noise, knocks/rattles when you first crank cold and then all the time at high RPM, it is not running hot or anything like that, doesn’t have blowby and does not slobber oil, no oil in water or water in oil, listen to the last video which you can hear the rattle. The truck cranks right up on its own power, engine and transmission run and shift, brakes work, air conditioning blows but not cold, heat is hot and tire condition can be seen in the photos. The truck does have over 300k miles and is rough all over from one end to the other, it is beat up, scratched up, paint chipping, seat torn, just old rough work truck but does run, would suggest hauling from site instead of hitting highway and blowing engine up, other than that what you see is what you get, good dependable work truck. We are selling the truck with a clean-clear title and bill of sale, it will crank right up and drive but does have a serious knock/rattle, would suggest buying for parts, for a good utility body or for repair, also if you do repair engine would suggest a good servicing/lubing from one end to the other because it has sat idle not being used in the 12 - 18 months.
