2001 International with dt 466e and Allison auto, Truck runs great, shifts and drives good. It is 17yrs old still being used not daily but as needed by a shop. Here are what is worthy of mentioned as regards to this transporter On the truck side: * The transmission fluid leaks at the seal, but it"s always been kept up with, and transmission is fine works great as it should. * The truck has to be plug in overnight, or it will be hard to start in the morning, unless you use ether. But if it"s plugged in overnight, it"s just a turn key and press switch, starts like a car deal. On the Bed side: * One of the raise Cylinder has a small leak, other than that and despite appearances, the bed works great and is very functional. * The wheel lift works but has a leak, unsure if it"s the fittings or the cylinders itself. * The main deck winch works but it will need the chain that drives the sprocket replaced. The top deck winch works great.
Other than these fixes, the truck runs, shifts & handles good, with a great potential for getting three cars moved in same amount of time you move 2 cars. The truck weighs around 16k, so you can haul about 5 tons of cars & trucks at a time and still be under it"s 26k GVWR. The bed has a lot of features that make it suitable for heavy equipment loading, a built in stabilizer bar slides out as the bed rolls out and fold back into place as you take the load on the frame. It is an automatic and under CDL so almost anyone can drive it. The 466 engine runs good and hardly use any oil between. changes. The double cylinder wheel lift came off a wrecker boom and will handle 6k or more fixed. Shipping is buyer"s responsibilty but will assist in anyway possible.
