Why am I selling this? It is one of my most dependable trucks, but with the 13+ box these clowns can"t seem to drive it right. Hence the clearance marker hanging off and the ding on the roof (minor)--see picture. More pics coming.
I bought this truck off of Martha"s Vineyard in 2013 where it had been sitting--Sent it to the mechanic and had over 10k invested in it, and it"s been my most dependable runner ever since.
--DT 466E engine with only 133k miles--I bought it with 123k miles on it, so less than 10k miles on lots of brand-new parts. I put 10 thousand into it when I bought it last in 2013, and more into it since then to make it good to go.
--Has a block heater, though I"ve never tried it since this truck ALWAYS starts right up. If you know this engine you know how well they run and for how long. Will probably go another 400k at least.
--NO smoke or blow-by.
Not that fast on the highway, goes about 60, but it may be a relay thing in the tranny. Never a problem with the trans though.
We do regular PM service on our trucks so this baby has been well taken care of since I"ve had it.
The box is about 1800 cubic feet, so a HUGE box for a straight truck. 24" box with peak is in good functioning condition (could use cosmetics) wide board hardwood floor on bed--could be sanded and refinished, but not necessary. Side door, and ramp detaches from rear.
Wood panel interior and vertical e-track throughout.
I hate to let this truck go, but I"m tired of patching dings in the box and replacing clearance markers since I can"t seem to find anyone who can drive it. The kids these days.
Feel free to message me with questions, I"ve got all the answers.
