    2001 Kenworth T-300
    Jerr-Dan MDL 280-110
This truck was purchased by us in 2002 when it was a demo. We have taken very good care of this unit and was our main recovery/towing unit up until we replaced it with 2 trucks. The beauty of this medium duty truck is that it is big enough to tow box trucks and daycab semis and small enough to tow a vw beetle off of the interstate. The truck has just over 100,000 original miles, most of our towing is within a 10 mile radius of our shop. The truck has a 3126B Caterpillar engine backed by a A3000 5 speed Allison automatic. The truck is super easy and fun to drive! The brakes on the truck are like new and the rear air motors were just replaced due to broken parking brake springs(common wear item). The truck has good rubber on the back and front, front tires could use a replacing before the next snow season if the truck is sticking around the snow belt. The tires are Michelins all the way around and the truck has ALL aluminum Alcoa polished wheels (including inner Duals). The cab is quiet and comfortable driving and has many options. The truck has manual drivers window and a power passengers window (very common on heavy trucks), engine retarder/brake, air and electric horns, mirror heat, differential air locker, cruise control, and many gauges. The paint on the truck was just redone to make it look like new and it turned out awesome! The entire sides of the wrecker unit, hood and doors were all repainted and buffed/waxed. The wrecker unit is in great shape also! This particular setup on this truck has an independent boom and underlift. The body on the truck is rated at 14 tons. Jerr-dan makes a 12 ton body but it is nothing like this 14 ton. The 14 ton body is an aluminum/composite sided body but it’s built much heavier. The wrecker unit has its own frame that sits on the trucks double frame. The unit has many options from Jerr-Dan including air free-spool planetary winches, 3 sets of frame forks, chain end hooks for the t bar, clockable spades for the rear stiff legs, frame fork adapters, L arms and adapters to use them, California tire lift for medium duty trucks ($4,500) option alone, 250’ of ½” h.d. cable on both winches that were just replaced not long ago with swiveling locking hooks, wheel dollies for awd of 4wd vehicles(best part is that they"re mounted on a sliding mount and tuck easily away in the right rear side compartment), a wired wheel lift remote(also has switches in the cab for the underlift), an adapter to put a standard trailer ball on the t bar, glad hand air hookups for vehicles with air brakes, auxillary air connection for air tools and a 7 way trailer hookup for lights and accessories. We had a custom stainless steel battery box made for the truck that houses 2 new napa big cca batteries and the hookup for the HD jumper cables. We also have a Pintle hitch adapter that we use to pull a trailer around with that we can include in the sale if desired(minus the actual “pintle hitch” we had to put it on our other truck). This unit is a great truck to get into just about anything the day could throw at you. The truck doesn’t need anything other than a set of front tires if desired and a new owner! I can’t emphasize how versatile this truck is, you can tow a smart car(have done it) or a 379 pete day cab semi tractor(done that too)! This truck looks as good in person as it does in the videos I have attached at the bottom of the page! If you have any questions or are serious about this truck give me a call at (608)769-6976, My name is Dylan and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have about the truck! Thanks for looking!
