2001 Sterling L8500 single axle day cab road tractor. Truck has 307, 231 miles on it and is a one owner unit. It has a Cat 3126 engine, serial number 9SZ06327, that is stock 250 hp but can be turned to around 295 hp. Transmission is a 7 speed Eaton Fuller, serial number T14607B. Rear end is Rockwell model RS23160 with a gear ratio of 4.30. It is air ride, air brakes and has a Holland air slide fifth wheel. Fuel capacity is 70 gallons. GVW front is 12k and rear is 20K for a total GVWR of 32K. Tires are Goodyear 11R24.5 and are in good condition. There is also a data cord ready to plug in for any type of gps. Only negatives on the truck are small hole in dash(pictured), surface rust inside rear rims but nothing very minor.
The truck came from a huge nationwide company that has over 460 service locations across the country. This particular truck is in Rock Island, IL and serviced out of that location since new. These single axle units are what they call peddle route trucks which is indicated by the low mileage. They have short local routes and this one has been in a backup roll for several years now.
