Selling a one owner 2001 Sterling L8500 single axle day cab road tractor. Truck has 306,782miles on it and has a Cat 3126 engine, serial number 9SZ06327, that is stock 250 hp but can be turned to around 295 hp. Transmission is a 7 speed Eaton Fuller, serial number T14607B. Rear end is Rockwell model RS23160 with a gear ratio of 4.30. It is air ride and air brakes. Fuel capacity is 70 gallons. GVW front is 12k and rear is 20K for a total GVWR of 32K. Tires are Goodyear 11R24.5 and are in good condition. There is also a data cord ready to plug in for any type of gps. Negatives are normal paint wear, minor surface rust spots, and cab is dusty. This is one of two I currently have on ebay. As I mentioned I have sold others on ebay and several privately.
The truck came from a huge nationwide company that has over 460 service locations across the country. This particular truck is in Mercer, PA and serviced out of the Lordstown, OH location since new. These single axle units are what they call peddle route trucks which is indicated by the low mileage. They have short local routes and this one has been in a backup roll for several years now. I have sold many of these units recently and they all have been in very good condition mechanically. There are additional units available as well.
Truck will crank and run and drive as said. Delivery is available at buyers expense anywhere in US. I have a driveaway service that can give a quote. The truck will sell with NO RESERVE so please do not place any bids unless you are prepared to abide by terms of sale. We will start the truck lower than market and it will sell to highest bidder. A $500 deposit will be due within 48 hours of sale via Paypal and balance to be paid by transfer within 7 days of end of sale. Title is clear and will be forwarded once truck is picked up by buyer. The trucks are at a depot there in Aurora and I live in TN so it is likely I won"t be able to be there at pickup.
