Due to changes in California Smog Laws, this truck must be sold Out of State .
This 2001 Sterling / Super Products Camel Sewer Vacuum Truck was recently retired from a local municipality and is now for sale on their behalf. Only 55K miles, with a GVWR of 56,000 lbs, it runs and drives well and the vacuum is reported to be in good working order. Powered by a 7.2 liter Caterpillar 3126 diesel with 8001 Hrs. (the vacuum motor has 550 Hrs) This truck was reportedly a favorite of the work crews and only retired when a new truck arrived. As a California truck, it is completely rust free. The body and paint have the usual chips and dings that most working trucks get, and some light glue stains where the city decals were removed from the doors, but the overall appearance is very good. Inside, everything looks clean and seems to work well, but the instrument cluster is a bit cloudy, the radio is missing a knob, and there is a tear in both the driver"s and passenger seat. (see photos) AC works but seems a bit weak. Mechanically it runs and drives nicely and has always been well maintained. We don"t know how to operate all of the vacuum controls, but the city fleet manger reports that it all works well.Just a clean truck that"s ready to work or be re-purposed for heavy hauling.
