The City of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, on behalf of the County of Isabella, Michigan, is offering the following for sale. Truck is owned and operated by Isabella County (MI), not the City of Mt. Pleasant (MI). Truck is being sold as is with no warranty extended or implied.
2003 International 4300 7.6L 466 CID International DT466 Diesel, automatic transmission, 110,335 miles. Truck was in operation until listed on eBay. Body is rusty. Limited maintenance records are available (see below). Truck was leased (as a used truck) by Isabella County before purchase in 2010. Vehicle does run and is operational. No major problems reported. Compactor works sporadically - requires the switch to be turned on/off several times to get it to work. Truck is not equipped with air conditioning.
Maintenance records are as follows:
March 2010 - Changed engine oil and filter; greased chassis; installed new passenger door windows (windows made from leftover supply); moved license plate assembly. October 2010 - Replaced bearing wheel cup rear outer, bearing wheel 4300 IHC outer, bearing clip rear 4300 inner, bearing wheel 4300 4300 rear inner, brake hardware kit, brake drum 4300 IHC/Gillig, brake shoe rear IHC, and rear wheel seal 4300 IHC. July 2010 - Replaced hydraulic hoses for the third compartment door cylinder; replaced right headlight bulb; lube/oil September 2010 - Found air leak at left front brake chamber and replaced complete assembly, adjusted brakes. Found wheel sensor wiring cut on left front - repaired wire, but ABS light is still on (needs computer). Road tested fine. December 2010 - Steering system - set toe in at 1/32 inch; Cargo & lift assembly - replaced bearing assembly for curb/sorter bins; complete inspection - preventative maintenance performed (lube/oil change). December 2010 - Cylinder 6 had a bad sleeve leaking coolant in to the oil pan. Replaced all injectors. Rerouted heater core hoses and flushed core after engine repair. Test system for coolant leak. January 2011 - Replaced windshield wipers. October 2011 - Replaced hydraulic hoses for the center compactor box. Repaired and rerouted wiring and hoses. Installed new hose supports. Tested equipment - works fine. Repaired wiring to rear lights. Installed new backup warning. Installed left side marker light. replaced left backup light and right backup light rubber. Fuel tank is leaking under the rear strap (repaired in Nov. 2011). November 2011 - Replaced hydraulic hoses for the rear compartment door. Repaired and rerouted wiring and hoses. Installed new hose supports. Tested - works fine. Repaired fuel tank leak. January 2012 - Replaced hydraulic hoses for the rear bin. Repaired and rerouted wiring and hoses. Installed new hose supports. Tested equipment - works fine. Lube engine. February 2012 - Replaced transmission dipstick. March 2012 - Repaired wiring to rear lights. Installed new backup warning. Installed left side marker light. Replaced left backup light. May 2012 - Replaced two hydraulic hoses from PTO pump to pressure relief block. August 2012 - Replaced toggle switch. September 2012 - Replaced fuel filters and fuel lift pump. November 2012 - Replaced coolant tank and sensor. January 2013 - Repaired right brake light warning. Repaired side marker lights. Changed engine oil & filter. Greased chassis. Inspected leaf spring assembly - both sides have broken leaves. March 2013 - Replaced blown hydraulic hose. June 2013 - Replaced bad flex tube on exhaust and weld exhaust shield. Replaced two bulbs for cab marker lights. Replaced light and pigtail for left side. Complete inspection done. Changed engine oil and filter. December 2013 - Hydraulic system inspection. Removed all air valves, cleaned, lubed and repaired inner control valve. Tested system - works fine. May 2014 - Replaced pass. side headlight bulb.

Payment : This item must be paid in full before or at time of pick-up. The City of Mt. Pleasant will accept PayPal and cashier’s checks. Sorry, no personal, out-of-state checks are accepted.
At the time of payment, the successful bidder will be required to sign a disclaimer of liability and an acknowledgment of acceptance of the item.
Sales Tax: The City of Mt. Pleasant will not add State sales tax to the purchase price. Payment of sales tax is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser.
Title Transfer: It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to transfer the title at the nearest Secretary of State office after purchase. The title can be obtained at time of pick-up.
Pick Up: Once payment is received, the Purchaser or his/her authorized representative may pick up the item at the City of Mt. Pleasant"s Division of Public Works, 1303 North Franklin Street, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The City may request identification from the person picking up the item. Removal of item(s) is at the risk and expense of the Purchaser . Purchaser may pay for and pick up the item on the same day. Please bring the necessary means to pick up/transport the vehicle as we will not have the manpower available to assist you.
Time Limit: If an item is not picked up within seven (7) business days after the auction end date and time, the City of Mt. Pleasant reserves the right to retain the item, to dispose of it as it deems appropriate, to re-list it for auction, block the bidder from future auctions, and any other action as allowed by eBay rules.
