With approximately 665,000 miles on an inframe done by an independent shop in 2012, the in demand 475HP CAT C-15 6NZ motor under the hood of this 2003 Pete does not leak, smoke or use any oil in between PM services at 15K mile intervals and produces a clean oil analysis! The head was replaced at the same time that the engine was overhauled, the Meritor Freedomline 12 speed Automated transmission was replaced in 2013. In 2014, I had both transmission harnesses replaced at a KW dealer and in March 2016, I replaced the transmission TCU at Piedmont Peterbilt (nearly $6K), kingpins, bearings/hub seal, virgin short haul steer tires and alignment. 12K lb. front end, 40k lb. rear end with a 3.21 ratio and HUGE dual 167 gallon fuel tanks! I average anywhere from 6.5-7.0 mpg LOADED with a CAT! Power windows and door locks, double bunk, in cab 5th wheel release, sliding (high tanker) 5th wheel, power divider, air suspension dump. Virgin drive tires are all at 10/32 or better and brakes are all at 50% or better. Spring pins, rear bushings, motor mounts, air dryer, air compressor, wiper motor, starter, batteries, all 4 ABS wheel sensors, brakes, radiator, water pump, A/C compressor & clutch, speed sensor and fan hub have all been replaced within the last 2 years, fresh FDOT inspection, NO CODES, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS!!! The answer to your next question is, there"s a small crack in the windshield (smaller than a dollar in width), the driver seat it worn, the passenger mirror was hit (the driver ran and I gorilla glued it back on) and the A/C needs work. Truck comes with a 2K/4K watt peak inverter and portable A/C. (It is hilarious to look at, but it works!) LET"S BE HONEST, new trucks are EXPENSIVE and unless you"re willing to pay well over $2K/month for a new truck and trade every 3 years (like I plan on doing), you"re gonna find a newer used truck with a limited warranty that will likely expire before the truck is paid for and then you"re just... STUCK! Trucks with pre-emsissions engines 2005 and older are in HIGH demand but the problem is, you don"t know exactly what you"re getting because people are more focused on making a buck than doing honest business! I make every effort to be upfront and honest about the condition of the truck because I want a potential buyer to make an informed decision. This is a 13 year old truck and showing her age, she is mechanically sound and I still run her about 500 miles per day, 95% furniture under 25K lbs! I bought this truck from a friend in January 2014 and he has owned it for the previous 8 years, so I can tell you pretty much anything you need to know about this truck. Feel free to contact me with questions. Thank You!
