This was a Buy Out situation where one of the long time O/O at FedEx $old all of his runs & equipment. The new owner bought a couple of 2012s from us & we traded/bought these. My father $old him this truck NEW when he worked at MHC KW. Kept IMPECCABLE MAINTENANCE RECORD$-ALL THESE FEDEX GUYS KEEP THEIR STUFF EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED!!! JUST GOT MY HANDS ON 2 FULL MAINTENANCE FOLDERS FROM ORIGINAL OWNER BEGINNING DAY 1-May 2004-May 2015-HE $OLD COMPANY & NEW OWNER RAN UNTIL AUGUST!!! This is a monthly report that was turned in to FedEx with every little thing that was done w/receipts-144 CON$ECUTIVE MONTH$!!! Serviced religiously every 20K miles/3 months whichever 1st! Truck really never went OVER THE ROAD so ALL MAINTENANCE DONE RIGHT HERE AT HOME!!!
I know it hasn"t had to have any major engine work that I know of, but very NORMAL BLOWBY for 1 million+ mile ACERT! Not using any oil & one can see that from the consistent record of 17K-20K mile services. Obviously, going to have to rebuild at some point, but can buy a CAT GOLD REBUILD KIT w/a year parts warranty for $5,000 & put in for $2-$2,500 & you"ve got a full rebuild & still only got $40-42K in the truck. THAT BEATS $160K FOR A NEW GLIDER KIT!!! Then when you get ready to $ell it, as long as you maintain it & keep it nice, it"ll still be worth $15-$20K, so you"re driving it for $8-$10 per year over 3 years!!! $eriously doubt buyer will $ell after 3 yrs, b/c to nice a truck to $ell it an have to spend a bunch of $$$ to replace it with a truck that"s probably not as nice, unless buying NEW of course!!!
ALL of these FedEx trucks we get from these guys are so clean & nice b/c of maintenance & light weight that I hardly ever whole$ale them, b/c they still got so much life left in them. Since it"s never hauled any weight to speak of & with the BIG CAT, 1,850 torque trans this thing hasn"t run but 1,400-1,500 rpms it"s entire life. It didn"t run much over 68-70 mph, b/c the key to making $$$ for these FedEx O/Os is to keep fuel milage at 6 mpg, b/c of how they have their fuel deal set up with FedEx!!! Also drive train & suspension haven"t had near the normal WEAR & TEAR on them b/c hauling doubles, so no actual weight sitting on the rear of the truck itself!!!
THIS TRUCK"S GOING TO MAKE $OMEONE A LOT OF $$$. If I had any concerns about the truck, I would"ve whole$aled it to one of my good Mexican customers or put it in an auction, so wouldn"t have ever listed it on eBay!!! (FEEDBACK ENTIRELY TO IMPORTANT FOR ME!!!)
