2004 RED VOLVO VNL 780. 11/2009 CUMMINS ISX 550 HORSE POWER ENGINE WITH 210,000 MILES. ENGINE WAS PURCHASED AT HEAVY TRUCK PARTS FOR 17,000 AND PROFESSIONAL INSTALLED FOR 6,000 , WHICH INCLUDED A NEW CLUTCH. THE AUTOMATIC 10 SPEED TRANSMISSION WAS REBULT BY TEC OF FONTANA 150,000 MILES AGO. THE TURBO WAS REPLACED NEW 100,000 MILES AGO. THE ECU ( COMPUTER ) HAS A DELETE FOR THE DPF SYSTEM. IT"S DPF READY, BUT DOES NOT HAVE A DPF SYSTEM ON IT.
I BOUGHT THE 2004 VOLVO 780 FROM ARROW TRUCK SALES IN 2008. I HAVE MAINTENANCE RECORDS WITH MOST WORK DONE AT TEC OF FONTANA. IN 2013, WITH THE UPCOMING EMISSIONS LAWS COMING INTO AFFECT IN CALIFORNIA, I PURCHASED A 2009 ISX CUMMINS DPF ENGINE FROM TRUCK PARTS WITH 210,000 MILES AND HAD IT PROFESSIONAL INSTALLED. THE ENGINE DIDN"T COME WITH THE DPF SYTEM. WEEKS LATER, CALIFORNIA DRAFTED A TWO YEAR EXTENTION TO THEIR EMISSION LAW. AT THAT TIME I HAD A DELETE CODE INSTALLED ON THE ECU COMPUTER TO RUN WITHOUT THE DPF SYSTEM. IN ORDER TO FINISH THE PROJECT AND GET THE TRUCK ON THE ROAD, I NEEDED A DUMMY, OR WORKING DPF ATTACHMENT FROM THE TURBO TO THE EXHAUST. DURING MY SEARCHING, I WAS OFFERED A FULL-TIME LOCAL JOB WITH FEDEX FREIGHT AND TOOK IT. THE ENGINE RUNS VERY STRONG!!! I"M FAR FROM ANY TYPE OF MECHANIC, SO YOU MAY KNOW YOUR OWN WAY TO GET IT ON THE ROAD AGAIN.
THE AIR CONDITONING WORKS STRONG, AND EVERYTHING ELSE WAS IN WORKING CONDITION WHEN IT WAS LAST DROVE. THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS HIT BY TRAILER WHILE BACKING UP AND WILL NEED A NEW DOOR WINDOW AND MIRROR. DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES WITH NO PROBLEMS. PLEASE SEE PICS. CLEAR TITLE.
