Selling a 2005 Chevrolet C6500 24" box truck with liftgate. Truck is a one owner unit. Has a Cat C7 engine with an Eaton 6 speed transmission. Total GVWR is 25,200 lbs so no CDL needed to drive it. Truck has 206,382 miles on it and is equipped with air conditioning. Truck is pretty clean inside and out. Inside of box is good.
Truck starts and runs, however, our inspection states that they think there is an issue with the engine. They did not diagnose the problem only said they felt like the truck"s engine would need some attention. Clearly there hasn"t been a failure of a bearing or something like that as the truck is running but as I said the problem was not diagnosed beyond that. Instead of trying to run it down two time zones away we are discounting the truck to about 30% of its value and letting it go. That way if there is something wrong, buyer will have more than enough room to fix it and still be well under market. If is is something simple then that is even better. If you have any questions about engine specifically you can call any Chevrolet commercial truck dealer and give them last 6 of VIN and they can give engine serial number and any other info. There is a small tear in the drivers seat but otherwise the truck is clean. Just an FYI if there is something wrong with the engine, we rebuilt one including sleeves for $3000 about two months ago so don"t let a new dealer shop try to take your shirt. It just isn"t that expensive an ordeal. You can also buy running takeouts for around $2500 from places like Frontier truck and other suppliers. The truck is located in Moreno Valley, CA. We can arrange delivery at buyers expense anywhere in the US. Of course if our quote is more than you are comfortable with you are welcome to transport yourself. As stated we feel like the truck would be best delivered by trailer until the issue is diagnosed. We also can offer repair services as we have relationships with shops all over the country. All of this would be at buyers expense of course. These trucks with clear inspections routinely bring $8-10k wholesale. Retail value on this truck in Los Angeles is around $15-16k. If you are winner of this auction you will need to post a $500 deposit via Paypal within 48 hours of close and balance to be wire transferred or sent Paypal(friend or family option) within 5 days of close. As stated earlier we will start it low and let it go. First bid will meet reserve so please ask questions prior to bidding as all bids are final.
