2005 Ford F450 XLT 4X4 Horton Type I ambulance with the 6.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8 engine and an automatic transmission. 180,650 miles. Dual rear wheels with a 16K GVW. One owner truck that was just taken out of service from a small rural town district. It has a top of the line Horton ambulance body that is loaded inside and out. The driver’s compartment is loaded with power windows, power locks, power heated mirrors, power adjustable pedals, AM/FM/CD radio, air conditioning, Upfitter auxiliary switches, cruise control, and tilt steering wheel. The interior is in good shape, clean, and everything works well. This ambulance has an air ride rear suspension, which makes it easy for loading and unloading, as well as an onboard air compressor. The ambulance box is in great shape and clean. The rear air conditioning and heat, exhaust fan, oxygen set up, power inverter, shore power, vacuum pump, and all interior lighting are present and in great working condition. The exterior is in good shape with no rot. It has a Code3 MX7000 light bar and Whelen perimeter lighting. This ambulance runs and drives great. The engine starts up easily and has plenty of power. There is no smoke, no hesitations, no misses, no noises, or issues. It has none of the typical 6.0L problems. There are no check engine lights or any other sort of warning lights. The turbo spools up perfectly and there is no blow by. The transmission shifts well. The four wheel drive engages easily and works great. The front manual hubs lock and unlock easily. It drives well on the highway, runs smoothly, and goes straight down the road. It has been very well maintained throughout its life. Every manual is included as well as almost $40,000 in maintenance and repair receipts since new. It had a sticker price of over $126,000 when new in 2005. All six tires are brand new Michelins, both batteries are brand new Napa heavy duty batteries, and it has a brand new alternator. This is ready to go back into service as an ambulance or use it for a plumbing, heating, or contractor’s work cargo van. It would make an awesome 4X4 RV or a heavy duty truck service body. The cab to axle length is 84” so it would be perfect chassis for a dump truck, flatbed, plow truck, car hauler, or anything else that you could think of. It is fully detailed and ready to go. It does have some average wear inside and out, but nothing major. The driver’s seat has some wear, but nothing that a seat cover wouldn’t fix. The exterior has some light scratches, scuffs, and a little paint peel from where the decals were removed. The front bumper has a small dent. The brakes are fair to good; the front brakes pulsate a little. The tires are a little out of balance, but not bad at all. The two way radios and siren control box have been removed, but all wiring is still in place as well as the sirens themselves. All around, it is rare 4X4 ambulance that"s in great shape and ready to go to work. Clean title in hand. Being sold as wholesale to the public.
