Bucket truck belonged to Rocky Mountain Power Co according to some things I found in the truck. I bought it a few years ago online from a dealer who was flipping it right after buying it from the power company. It has been stored inside ever since I had it. It has a current PA inspection, license, and insurance. It can be driven and or boom run anytime someone wants to make an appointment with me. Runs great, has the normal small oil leaks of the 6.0"s. I"ve been slowly working on scraping rust off boom, cleaning everything, cleaning up old invertor system (removed) etc. My intention was to paint it when completed. I had a local Dealer Mechanic install a new EGR cooler and Oil cooler in the unit when it arrived at my place by flatbed from Iowa. When I first drove the truck it seemed to get too hot quickly so when the Mechanic did the test to see if it was a head gasket or a cracked EGR cooler he determined it was the latter which prompted us to replace the parts stated above. He used all Ford parts for anything he replaced, including oil and fuel filters. I"ve put very little miles on it as I use it around my farm property. The pics will show that it is almost ready to be painted. The front fenders have the front wheel plastic guards removed for painting, but they are in good shape. Some of the fiberglass bucket parts are removed while I have been checking everything out. When it first arrived I also had my Altec mechanic go over the unit and change the filter for hydro and just generally give me an inspection of the unit to make sure it looked in good shape, which they did and verified. It has not had the boom certified since I use it personally and haven"t needed the cert. The unit has 360 continuous rotation, and has both upper and lower controls and the battery operated emergency lower system...which all work well.
If you are a professional equipment dealer/remounting business and are interested in the unit for a remount or parts I"d be glad to sell the unit at a fair price and you can drive the unit to your shop to pull off the unit, utility body, and mounting system since I"d love to keep the chassis if someone didn"t want it. Truck/unit will be sold as is, where is at this time. Please inspect before buying. Truck is located in Doylestown, PA area. The Farm has been sold and the truck isn"t needed anymore.
Phone number for inspecting the truck is 267-243-3575
Please make an appointment to see and run it when you can. I"ve described everything pretty much as best I could. 267-243-3575 is my cell.
I highly recommend seeing the unit before buying so it can be appreciated at it"s current state.
